April 23-26, 2026. After saying so long to Mom and Noah, we were back in “delivery mode”. The object here is to get as far as possible each day…and not to worry about where we were spending the night. Our 1st night out of Colorado was in Abilene, KS. Stayed with a lovely couple on their farm that featured cattle, goats, pigs and Alpacas. The next day was 7 hours to Pocahontas, IL. We stopped for the night at Funderburk’s Diner…something of a legend in these parts. Good food…and in bed early! Up early again for an 8 hour drive to Belleville, OH. Here we stayed at a dutch diner. Have to say…the food was awful. Worst of the entire trip. Oh well. Next day we got to the center of PA, where we stayed at a lovely golf course. No time to play a round…but Jeff did get some time in at the driving range.
