Lea Ann and Jeff have been cruising trawlers and racing sailboats together since they met in 1994.  But, after 30 years they decided to “PIVOT” for a while…buying a motorhome to explore this great country, and see for ourselves what’s going on between our oceans. 

Lea Ann resisted. As a former Olympic and professional figure skater, she had already toured North America on a tour bus. But as Jeff pointed out, she had not done that with him! After thinking about it a bit more Lea Ann realized that while touring, she traveled at night…seeing mostly arenas and hotels rooms! “OK, I’m on board”! (but do enjoy the “Lea the Skeptic’s” corner…)

Jeff retired July 2025 after 40+ years in the TV business. Not being one to sit around, Jeff already started to chart out his desired destinations this past winter.  Whether its navigating by air, water or land Jeff always has a plan to get there safely, and still having a lot of fun planning stops with amazing stories…think the world’s largest ball of string!

In the fall of 2024, Jeff and Lea Ann started researching motor homes at RV shows and local dealerships.  Many were too big, and some seemed to be a real hassle.  They settled on a Leisure Travel Van.  Built in Manitoba, Canada, the LTVs have a great reputation for build quality.

Together they plan to experience what is between the oceans by not just seeing new destinations but by listening to the people. Not being tourists, but Americans that love this country, and want to learn more about it.
