August 17, 2025. A lovely drive through the rolling Virginia countryside. So many Civil War battlefields (let’s hope we won’t be using those again) line each side of the road. We pulled in to the Fables & Feathers winery for the night. We had cut it pretty close to the tag tasting room’s closing, but Lea Ann made it in and sampled some VA grape. Not bad! We dined outside in our private gazebo with an awesome view of the Shanandoah sunset.
