August 3, 2025. Interesting day of driving today. The smoke from the Canadian fires is really starting to bug us. The views are about 50%, and Lea Ann is coughing. Yet we pressed on…over the big bridge and further northwest. Munising is a small town on the shores of Lake Superior. We stayed at a pleasant enough town campground, with a sandy beach steps from our camper. We had heard the Lake Superior’s waters were famously cold…but not the case on this day. Very nice swim indeed! We had pick up some cherry brats for dinner. YUM!
