April 13 – 17 2026 We’ve packed a lot into this week, so we stayed in Petaluma for a few days. So great for Lea Ann to be able to see fellow skating choreographer Karen Kresge, who invited us over to her beautiful Sonoma home for dinner (Karen’s husband Vincent is an amazing chef!). JoJo Starbuck and her husband Jeff are new neighbors in nearby Glen Ellen…and they joined as well. What a fun night. The skaters talked about skating…and the men…let’s just say that the wine was excellent!
The next day we went to the Charles Schulz Museum of Skating and Ice Rink in Santa Rosa. “Sparky” Schulz was quite the skating fan…and something of a hockey aficionado. Karen Kresge worked with him for years…developing the rink and skating programs for kids AND adults!. It’s a tremendous place…highly recommended if you appreciate “Peanuts”.
Wednesday night was a big one for us! We drove into San Francisco to meet up with Lea Ann’s “family”….her skating family. Brian Boitano hosted at the awesome house he just renovated with his partner Franc D’ambrosio. Also joining in were Gorsha Sur, Kristi Yamaguchi, Caryn Kadavy, and Yvonne Gomez. Roz Sumners flew up from Palm Springs. There were also a few significant others to keep Jeff company! What a blast to see everyone, hear the stories and just have a wonderful evening. So much fun!!!
Our last night in Sonoma was at JoJo and Jeff’s new-to-them house in Glen Ellen. Wow Wow Wow. This is an amazing home. Really a creative feeling to it. Beautiful property, and a a brochure quality view of the neighboring vineyard. They are doing a great job of making the house their new home. Congratulations!
